The dominant presence of Mourvèdre in the blend gives this wine its strong character, balance and complexity. With the addition of Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan to the blend, an intense fruit and floral nose make this an attractive rosé wine. The palate is rounded and full with fruity aromas of peach and pomegranate, followed by delicate spice notes and a pleasant freshness created by acidic balance.
Domaine Tempier is undoubtedly the leading producer of Bandol and has been under ownership of the same family since the 1880s. The estate is famed for its long-lived, powerful, Mourvedre grape variety. The quality of the wines here is known throughout the world, and recognised as one of the South of France's greatest wine producers, and a long-term favourite of Noble Grape.
