Warm up & Wine down
Let us get you out of your wet clothes, and into something dry & Provincial. Think that Rosé is just for Summer, think again.
While Rosé pairs perfectly with long lazy beach days, pool parties and long lunches which turn into sundowners, its also the perfect tipple for the winter months too.
Rosé the perfect pairing to some of our winter faves. Roasts on a Sunday, that midweek Risotto or that spicey green Thai curry on a Friday night.
The following Rosé’s are perfect for these colder months:
Château Romassan Bandol Rosé
Part of the Domaines Ott* range, and a truly Provençal wine. Light peach in colour with a delicate nose full of floral notes which evolve towards citrus fruits and vine peaches. On the palate the wine is soft, well structured and refined with flavours of grapefruit and white stone fruits. It is a wine of balance, finesse and tension. Perfect with a roasted vegetables risotto, cured meats, sushi, or gently spiced Asian dishes.
£37.99 or 6 for £225.
Rock Angel
According to Chateau d’Eslcans Rock Angel ” Proves every season is rosé season ”
The sophisticated older sibling to Whispering Angel. This wine has plenty of depth and a clean fresh hint of grapefruit, lemon and strawberry. Good structure with a long finish. If you like the minerality of a Sancerre, you will love this wine.. Perfect on those colder Autumnal evenings. Versatile enough to suit a range of dishes, such as chicken pie and sausage casseroles.

Domaine Tempier Bandol
The dominant presence of Mourvèdre in the blend gives this wine its strong character, balance and complexity. With the addition of Grenache, Cinsault and Carignan to the blend, an intense fruit and floral nose make this an attractive rosé wine. Mourvèdre grapes can really hold there own, so this wine would be great with big, bold, flavourful dishes and even with meaty dishes such as Pork Ribs or Lamb.
£40 a bottle or £240 for 6

By Ott
Pale and pretty in crystal-clear pink with orange undertones. The nose is delicate and fruity with notes of white peach and apricot mixed with passion fruit and mango. The taste is full, fresh and crisp with echoes of the fruity aroma amplified by citrus zest and sweet spices (cinnamon and cardamom). The perfect accompaniment to Roast Chicken or Chicken Milanese.

Secret by Daylesford
From the owners of Daylesford Farm, Secret is distinctly pale, dry & highly sophisticated in style. With the most delicate of pear aromas, Secret os assured and effortless, remarkable for its texture and sensation in the mouth. Made from lower yields. It is delicately scented, cool and yet underlaid with slightly more exotic aromas that betray is Provencal orginas – herbs, fennel, a touch of aniseed. Its finely textured (thanks to the Cabernet Sauvignon), persistent and warming without being overtly alcoholic. Above all, there is a freshness, a hint of whit pepper, which balances the fruit on the palate, ensuring a dry, mouthwatering finish. Perfect with grilled salmon or grilled chicken with pancetta.
£33.99 a bottle.
